PAY RATE :$7.25 first year worker
WHEN : Sometime is early July to early Aug this is depending on when the corn is ready
WHERE: Many of the fields are West of 600W and South of 500N in Madison county/We may also be in Hamilton County.
HOW LONG DO WE WORK :The season is different each year : 12 to 20 days.

AGE: 13 yrs or older when starting to work

There have been a lot of questions about pay, dates, etc. I want to answer. Let's start with the most frequently asked- PAY

Currently THE BASE PAY FOR FIRST YEAR WORKERS IS $7.25/hr.. Those who are coming back for another year will be paid a little more. Second timers (and third, and fourth, and lifers) will be informed of their pay rate at the info meetings. Check back for times, location and dates.

As far as HOURS AND DAYS, that's a little harder to pin down. Because of the nature of the work we are kind of at the mercy of the weather. As of this minute THERE IS NO PLAN TO START BEFORE JULt 14,but that can change fast. If we get hit with some clear days and hot, humid nights that would be great for planting.

At the beginning of the season PLAN ON WORKING 8 HOURS A DAY. Again, there is no clear cut answer because of weather, but with a great attitude and desire to MAKE MONEY the time will fly by. Be aware this estimate DOES NOT INCLUDE TRANSPORTATION TIME OR LUNCH BREAKS, which depending on your pick-up/drop-off point can be an extra hour and a half.

Also, it is VERY IMPORTANT TO GIVE YOUR EMAIL on the interest sheet. It is the most efficient way for you to get info on upcoming meetings and helpful hits for a successful season.
